Would we still need something like QEMU user-mode emulation for Windows BTW, real hardware. Is there any one here that can help me convert mkisofs to cdimage? I realize that mkisofs has some features that CDimage does and vis-versa, so it may not be possible. The port is over one year old, and does not boot into the GUI.

ReactOS 0.3.15 installation failed to boot for me either on SATA. And to create this 4.7GB iso I use CDimage. ReactOS website points out that ReactOS is not ready for everyday production use at this stage.

I'm clueless on the reason why this occurs and how to solve it. After doing all these boot steps in the same manner as the original ISO did and when it seems to start the desktop - suddenly reboots. Tried on both emulators this new ISO and the booting process starts as expected, pressing a key to continue the live CD boot, a graphical startup screen followed by a blue text mode screen saying: "ReactOS Client/Server Run-Time (Build 20060827-r23747)". I've been having some issues creating a bootable ReactOS ISO, I've also posted a similar question yesterday on the ReactOS forum here, but I have some hope that people from this forum can also have any good ideas and help out solving this puzzle.
